Position Summary :

The Audio Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of live sound at events, ensuring high-quality audio delivery from setup to teardown. This includes configuring audio systems, running sound checks, mixing live audio, and coordinating with the broader production team to meet client expectations and uphold Leylatys standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up, test, and operate professional audio systems including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and playback devices.

Conduct thorough sound checks before each event to ensure audio clarity and balance.

Mix live audio during events (including weddings, conferences, banquets, etc.) for both front-of-house and monitoring systems.

Diagnose and quickly resolve any technical audio issues during live events.

Maintain and care for all audio equipment, ensuring regular inspection, cleaning, and safe storage.

Coordinate closely with lighting, video, and event management teams to ensure smooth event execution.

Adapt to different venue acoustics and event requirements on a case-by-case basis.

Maintain documentation of setups, inventory, and technical issues for future reference.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Minimum 3 years of experience in live audio engineering, preferably in high-end banqueting or event venues.

Proficiency with antilog and digital mixing consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Behringer, Allen & Heath, etc.).

Solid understanding of audio signal flow, EQ, feedback control, and gain staging.

Ability to set up and operate wireless microphone systems and in-ear monitoring systems.

Experience with playback software, recording setups, and AV coordination is a plus.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the event schedule.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in live settings.
