Overview
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this role you will provide direction and management for Power projects.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams to meet project goals and milestones.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks, develop and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project derailment.
- Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing regular status updates on progress, budget, and any issues.
- Quality Assurance : Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables and conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Budget and Financial Management : Monitor and control project finances, ensuring projects stay within allocated budgets.
- Problem Solving : Address project issues and obstacles quickly using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Reporting : Prepare and deliver progress reports, project success metrics, and deployment activities to various audiences.
- Mentorship : In larger organizations, a senior project manager may also mentor junior project managers and team members.
- Project Planning and Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope and objectives, create timelines, and manage resources (personnel, budget, equipment).
Required Skills
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with diverse groups of people.Strategic Thinking : Ability to align project goals with overall company strategy and develop solutions for complex issues.Analytical Skills : Proficient in data analysis, metric tracking, and risk assessment.Technical Acumen : Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and relevant industry-specific tools and processes.Leadership : Ability to lead, motivate, and manage project teams effectively.Education and Experience
Bachelor2s Degree in Engineering or related technical / business field; 15+ years of related work experience required; previous project management experience on similar or related projects.
Licenses and Certifications
Professional registration may also be required.
