Role Description
The Senior Bid Writer is a key member of the Business Development team at Elevate MENA, responsible for leading and managing the bid function, including line management. The role combines proposal writing, workflow coordination, and team leadership to deliver high‑quality, strategically aligned submissions across the Sports, Culture, and Entertainment sectors, aligned to organisational strategy and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
- Lead the development of proposals alongside technical leaders, ensuring clarity, strategic focus, and persuasive storytelling.
- Coordinate inputs across internal teams, including Consulting & Advisory, Brand Sponsorship & Activation, Commercial & Sales, Arts & Culture, Creative and external partners.
- Write, edit, and proofread all submissions to ensure consistency with Elevate brand standards.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to produce visually compelling decks and templates.
Bid Management & Process
Manage multiple concurrent bids through structured planning and clear timelines.Lead bid kick‑offs, aligning teams on win themes, roles, and deadlines.Maintain and enhance the BD department’s templates, trackers, content libraries, and filing systems.Oversee compliance, submission logistics, and coordination with Finance and Legal.Track opportunities, clarifications, and outcomes through CRM and internal tools.Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and mentor bid writers and coordinators within the BD function.Oversee task allocation, workflow, and quality reviews to ensure timely delivery.Support onboarding and training of new team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.Provide constructive feedback to improve writing standards and proposal strategy.Manage bid department priorities and resourcing in coordination with BD leadership.Monitor workload, capacity, and deliverable timelines across all submissions.Support bid / no‑bid discussions by providing input on scope, timelines, and resource feasibility.Contribute to proposal positioning by aligning content with client objectives and market trends.Conduct research and benchmarking to strengthen proposal narratives and case studies.Analyse feedback and competitor submissions to drive continuous improvement.Proven ability to lead proposal efforts and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams under pressure.Strong mentoring and team management skills.Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal abilities.Self‑motivated, accountable, and proactive in driving quality and delivery.Communication
