Job Description

Our Middle East office has an opening in Saudi Arabia for an

HSE Officer

The purpose of this position is to ensure the compliance with the Companies Integrated Management System (SLIMS), with HSE standards and related legislation at the assigned contracts. In addition, to continuously improve SLIMS implementation and increase the HSE culture across all contracts and levels. Reporting to the Contract Manager.

Responsibilities will include :

• Ensure SLIMS implementation at Contract level.
• Conduct Internal SLIMS audits based on ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001 / 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Assist in the execution of corrective or preventative actions on contract level.
• Conduct SLIMS familiarization and Shore training.
• Monitor SLIMS Crew training programmes / e-learning.
• Deliver HSErelated training onboard vessels (by regular weekly visits).
• Identify and recommend areas for improvement.
• Promote safe practices through Group campaigns, competitions and incentives.
• Communicate / coordinate HSEmatters through safety and toolbox meetings, and safety alerts.
• Ensure emergency preparedness by conducting shipboard drills and debriefings.
