Buyer

Overview

The buyer manages an expenditure for materials and / or services to support the company's purchasing programs. Position is responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the needs for indirect materials and services. Products and services are to be secured at cost quality and at delivery competitive levels consistent with company performance standards. The position is further responsible for the timely planning and scheduling of receipt and inventory control of the products and services as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages in- and cross-Kingdom procurement and product orders.
• Engages in supplier / vendor pricing and minimum quality standards negotiations from chosen suppliers.
• Manages the after sales service efforts, including product delivery schedules, invoicing and payment.
• Remains current on market trends suppliers, and maintains procurement pipelines with alternative vendors to ensure standards are maintained.

Job Duties

Education

Education - Bachelor’s degree in fields of supply chain.

Experience

At least two years of experience in procurement / purchasing / buying / planning required.

Competencies

Language Skills

Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Similar Arabic skills preferred. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Computer Skills

Job requires specialized computer skills. Proficient in using ERP (Oracle) systems, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
