Position Overview

The Quay Crane Remote Control Operator The Quay crane operator is responsible for operating the ship to shore gantry crane remotely at control room to perform Loading / Unloading Containers, Bulk Cargo, and dangerous Cargo from wharf to vessel and vice-versa.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers to / from trailers.
• Full knowledge in handling of spreader hoisting / lowering and appropriate use of flipper guide.
• To ensure that, the correct positioning of gantry and working bays.
• To ensure that the crane is properly secured with ground anchorage after completion of operations.
• To communicate with assigned Tally / Hatch men for smooth vessel operations.
• Work to agreed operating and performance standards
• Always maintain safe working practices
• To undertake other duties as needed and directed by the Team Leader
• Able to operate with 35 Mph for achieving target.
