The Catalogue is the foundation of every merchant’s success ; the system that defines how products are created, classified, and discovered.
We’re hiring a Catalogue Consultant to lead how Salla merchants manage their product data, taxonomy, and digital content.
This role requires someone who’s operated or implemented PIM (Product Information Management) or MDM (Master Data Management) systems and understands the complexity of managing data for thousands of SKUs in multiple languages.
You’ll design catalogue structures that make sense for both the merchant and the system.
What You will Do
- Evaluate how merchants currently create, categorize, and enrich product data, and design improved structures for scalability.
- Define taxonomy, metadata, and data governance frameworks for multi-language product catalogues.
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, and marketing teams to improve product import, attribute management, and localization workflows.
- Lead system testing and validation for catalogue accuracy, data sync, and bulk operations.
- Establish quality standards for product data enrichment, SEO alignment, and discoverability.
- Analyze merchant segments (e.g., fashion, electronics, beauty) to identify specific catalogue and attribute requirements per industry.
- Design adaptive product attribute templates that fit each merchant type and business size — ensuring they capture only what’s relevant.
- Enhance search and filtration logic by defining which product attributes appear as filters, how they are ordered, and how they improve product discovery and conversion.
