Job Description of SOC Resident Engineers L2 & L3

We are looking for SOC Resident Engineers (L2 & L3) to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will serve as a frontline defender, ensuring that security threats are identified, analyzed, and addressed swiftly within a client's Security Operations Center (SOC). This is a critical position that offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge security tools and collaborate closely with IT security experts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of SOC Resident Engineers L2 & L3

Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs from various sources within the SOC.

Respond to security incidents, perform in-depth investigations, and provide root cause analysis.

Escalate complex security incidents to appropriate teams and coordinate response.

Conduct proactive threat hunting and identify anomalies in the IT environment.

Support the development and tuning of detection rules and SIEM use cases.

Document incident response activities and prepare detailed reports.

Assist with the implementation of cybersecurity best practices and policy compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture continuously.

Qualification Required for SOC Resident Engineers L2 & L3

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or similar cybersecurity role.

Strong knowledge of security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).

Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, IDS / IPS, and endpoint protection tools.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or SANS GIAC) are a plus.
