Position Summary

Detasad is urgently seeking a seasoned DWDM Consultant to lead the design and deployment of high-capacity optical networks across metro, regional, and long-haul domains in Saudi Arabia. This is a strategic role requiring deep technical expertise and immediate availability.

Detailed Job Description

As a DWDM Consultant, you will act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the customer, overseeing the full lifecycle of DWDM network deployment. You’ll be responsible for developing high-level and low-level designs, conducting optical performance analysis, and ensuring robust protection schemes. The role includes coordinating rollout schedules, managing risk registers, and leading acceptance testing (FAT / SAT). You’ll also collaborate with IP / MPLS teams to ensure seamless integration between transport and packet layers, while maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the customer’s SPOC for DWDM project deployment
• Design and implement DWDM systems for metro, regional, and long-haul networks
• Develop and review HLD / LLD with optical power budget, OSNR, and dispersion analysis
• Define redundancy and protection schemes to eliminate single points of failure
• Coordinate rollout schedules and track milestone achievements
• Establish acceptance criteria (BER, latency, power levels) and lead FAT / SAT testing
• Manage risk registers, escalation plans, and project documentation
• Collaborate with IP / MPLS teams for transport layer integration
• Support site acceptance and vendor coordination
• Ensure all documentation (MOPs, As-Built, Acceptance Reports) is approved and archived
