What is expected from you?
- You will be responsible for the overall delivery of the audit engagement that you will be leading.
- Driving and taking ownership for developing connections that help deliver what is best for our people and stakeholders.
- Managing client relations with senior management, including delivering presentations / pitches to the board of directors, audit committees, and prospective clients.
- You will oversee the completion of engagements, provide support and training on technical issues / methodologies, fee negotiation, and adhere to budget and engagement deadlines.
- Identifying market gaps and spot opportunities in Assurance, as well as cross-selling opportunities for other lines of service, to create value propositions that meet client needs.
- Ensuring compliance with risk, quality and independence matters.
- Arranging and sponsoring appropriate assignments and experiences to help people realise their potential and support long-term aspirations.
- Looking for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
- Assisting partners in managing the economics of their portfolio by monitoring budget, following up on billing, collection, and profitability.
- Participating in recruitment processes to interview and select the most competent candidates as per PwC hiring standards.
- Supporting Middle East people initiatives and assisting partners in executing action plans against periodic people feedback surveys.
- Creating an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more.
- Delivering training sessions to the team based on the learning and development curriculum; coaching, mentoring and development of team members reporting to you.
- Promoting and encouraging diversity in teams and collaboration across levels.
What will you bring?
A degree in accounting, finance or related field.Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in external financial auditing, preferably in a Big 4 firm.Completed professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA.Experience auditing Banking / Insurance clients is an asset.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is a plus.Knowledge of ISAs, IFRS (IFRS9, IFRS17) and relevant financial services regulations.Strong project management skills with experience managing an audit from planning to completion.Ability to challenge and guide a team to achieve high-quality testing and documentation.Ability to build positive relationships across internal and external stakeholders.Ability to drive innovative thinking and support change and uncertainty.Experience promoting a collaborative, diverse team and resolving issues quickly.Pride in the Audit profession and commitment to self-development and digital innovation.Knowledge of Audit technologies and data analytics tools is a plus.Why you’ll love working for PwC
