Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Charging System Engineer to join our team in KSA on a 12-month extendable contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation, configuration, and optimization of charging systems for GSM operators, directly impacting service reliability and customer experience.
Detailed Job Description As a Charging System Engineer, you will work within a dynamic telecom environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance the Intelligent Network (IN) and Ericsson Charging System nodes. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, implementing high-availability configurations, and ensuring system integrity across multiple platforms. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects that support millions of subscribers.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, optimize, and maintain Intelligent Network (IN) and Charging System nodes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and performance issues across IN and CS environments.
Perform system integration support and manage network changes effectively.
Conduct regular system health checks and implement preventive maintenance measures.
Monitor network and service performance, analyze trends, and apply corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile technologies (GSM / WCDMA).
Hands-on expertise with Ericsson Charging System nodes : SDP, AIR, CCN, OCC, NGVS, ECE, ECNMT, NeLS.
Strong system administration skills : Linux OS, Unix Shell scripting, Python, SQL, Oracle Databases.
Solid understanding of IP networking protocols and relevant call flows.
Experience in SDP geo-redundancy setup and high-availability configurations.
Proficiency in Wireshark for packet and protocol analysis.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with cloud-based telecom solutions.
Knowledge of 5G architecture and charging principles.
Experience with automation tools for system monitoring and maintenance.
Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM).
Advanced troubleshooting using Ericsson proprietary tools.
