Overview
An Instrumentation Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of automated systems. Main Responsibilities
To conduct inspection and check-up all instrumentation equipment / devices on the given area to ensure 100% efficiency is always attained. Check for leaks and any abnormal condition and performance of the device on the process area. Maintain cleanliness of each instrument. Check for PLC panel cooling system and maintain cleanliness of the whole panel. Pull-out, install, loop check, test, and repair electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic devices. If any Issue found in the instrument / equipment do corrective action if possible during normal run or if not possible to attend inform supervisor / Engineer immediately. Perform any pending instrumentation activities on area of responsibility as per directions from Supervisor / Engineer. Perform activities for improvements such us modification and upgrades as per directions from Supervisor / Engineer. Record calibration made, parts and component used or replaced for reference and equipment history purposes. Implement proper housekeeping on the work area and employ safety practices during installation, pull-out, calibration and maintenance of the instrument. List of instrumentation equipment / devices Control valves- check for any leaks, check filter and regulator, hose and fitting, cable connections, connectors and glanding, maintain cleanliness. On / off valves- check for any leaks, check filter and regulator, hose and fitting, quick exhaust valves, flow control, solenoid valves, maintain cleanliness. Transmitters (pressure, level, flow consistency, temperature) - check for connectors, cable, glanding and process connections, maintain cleanliness. Pneumatic cylinders- check for any leaks, check filter and regulator, hose and fitting, quick exhaust valves, flow control, solenoid valves, mounting bolt tightness and eye rod. Maintain cleanliness. Filter, regulators and lubricators- check for leaks, drain filters check lubricator oil level, check pressure gauge condition. Maintain cleanliness. Solenoid valves, fittings and hoses- check for leaks, check connectors and cable, check hose and fittings conditions. Field switches (proximity switch, limit switch, pressure switch etc.)- check cables connection and connectors, junction box, sensor mounting and screws, maintain cleanliness. Gauges (Pressure, Temperature) - check dial, check for accurate / correct reading. Maintain cleanliness. Junction boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic panels- it must clean and dry, and door is always close to eliminate water entry Control panels, and PLC panels : check if all the panels are clean and cooling system is working. 4- 5- 6- Needed Competencies
Minimum 3 years of related professional experience. Diploma degree in Instrumentation & Controls Good communication skills.
