Execute the main procurement activities including sourcing, contracting and supplier developments, as well as purchasing requested materials, services, assets, MRO and general items with right specifications, price, quality, and delivery time / location from the right source.

Responsibilities

• Develop suppliers to meet objectives related to cost saving, delivery performance and material quality.
• Execute the sourcing and contracting plans based on AED sourcing strategy.
• Perform regular supplier performance evaluations and establish development plans.
• Maximize the number of contracted items within scope with approved suppliers to secure prices, delivery, payment terms and needed quality while reducing purchasing cycle time.
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions.
• Understand detailed requirements for each purchase request (description, specifications, quantity, UOM, delivery date) and coordinate with requesters or BU technical teams.
• Manage execution of purchase requests through RFx processing from approved suppliers.
• Negotiate best purchase conditions considering specifications, delivery time and costs.
• Initiate alternative material specifications based on market availability with technical team involvement.
• Compare quotations using the approved comparison form to select the best commercial (landed cost) and delivery terms.
• Identify selected supplier with BU technical teams / requesters and issue purchase orders per system.
• Ensure purchase orders include all required attached documents.
• Follow alfanar PO approval matrix for final approval.
• Send approved purchase orders to suppliers and follow up for acknowledgment.
• Track PO delivery schedule with suppliers and inbound logistics until material arrival and order closure.
• Contribute to procurement activities (sourcing, development, evaluation, contracting) with coordination to commodity heads.
• Maintain vendor master information, keeping it up to date.
• Manage non‑conformity process for rejected supplied materials and lead corrective / preventive actions with other departments.
• Visit suppliers for pre‑qualification, evaluation, development and partnership strengthening.
