Field Access Manager – Saudi Arabia
is a field position based in Jeddah and reports to the Senior Manager, Field Access - Saudi Arabia & Gulf Countries. This role handles relationships with clinical pharmacies at Hospitals / Institutions, NUPCO, and Central Medical Supplies at MoH, in close connection with the Distributor, to facilitate the completion and execution of NUPCO contracts at hospital / account level (including quantities calculation, tenders’ award, delivery schedule, PO preparation / completion and consumption) on a timely basis as per accounts and patient needs. The role also monitors product stocks across the supply chain in Saudi Arabia (Distributor, Hospitals, Institutions, MoH, Private Sector, etc.). The Field Access Manager will manage Months of Inventory (MOI) optimization across all SKUs in accounts / institutions / Distributor in close collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, and Distributor; lead the tenders task force with all franchise teams on a weekly / bi-weekly / monthly basis; assist in analyzing and interpreting government policies related to access to medicines, Health Economic Assessment policies and pharmaceutical spending trends; collaborate with Market Access Lead and Government Affairs Regional / Global Leads to assess impact on the company portfolio; ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics. This role requires regular interactions with cross-functional BMS teams (Franchise Teams, Access and Govt. Affairs, Medical, Regulatory, etc.), Distributor, Pharmacy, Planning, and Purchasing Departments at institutions and Health Clusters, Central Medical Supplies and regional ministry branches at MoH, NUPCO and key private accounts. Key Responsibilities
Establish relationships and work closely with Distributor, Institutions, Clusters, NUPCO and MoH. Participate in strategic access discussions and assist in strategic access plans for all products. Encourage and support cross-functional collaboration. Facilitate the completion and execution of the NUPCO awards / contracts (including accounts PO issuance) in a timely manner. Monitor market / accounts needs, monthly consumption, and stock. Serve as Main Point of Contact for any supply / stock related issue at account level. Lead on-ground efforts to implement strategic access plans and ensure enlistment timelines are met. Regularly update the CFT on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees’ status and schedule. Coach Therapeutic Area Partners (TAPs) on Special Patient Requests (SPRs) and enlistment across all accounts / institutions in Saudi Arabia. Aid in developing monitoring dashboards and ensure timely data feeding to stay up to date. Conduct regular visits with TAPs to resolve access-related issues. Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the health-care environment and trends, propose strategies to position BMS as a partner of choice, and share insights with senior management for effective decision-making. Stay aware of changes in the environment, communicate with Franchise Teams to maintain a competitive advantage. Display superior communication and negotiation skills. Degree Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Pharmaceutical / Medical field. Business School degree or MBA is preferred. Experience Requirements
5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a similar role. Strong business understanding and marketplace knowledge. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management, analytical and forecasting skills. Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence decisions in senior management. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic. Traveling is required.
