Overview

The SAP Technical Lead will be responsible for the administration and operation of SAP solution management, ensuring technical leadership and adherence to agreed standards by the NetWeaver team. This role will work closely with functional and technical designers to deliver consistent, high-quality technical solutions while continuously improving team knowledge and delivery skills. Responsibilities cover all aspects of SAP NetWeaver administration, including system installations, upgrades, problem resolution, database management, client copies, system refreshes, configuration, and performance tuning across a complex system landscape. The role will also support the transition process from implementation to production operations.

Responsibilities

Provide technical analysis and oversight for SAP NetWeaver administration and development activities impacting business solutions.
Lead SAP BASIS / NetWeaver operations, including installation, upgrade, patching, and landscape optimization.
Collaborate with the Delivery Leadership Team in developing and delivering SAP services.
Document SAP system administration, development processes, and operational guidelines.
Provide strategic guidance on SAP landscape design, consolidation, and disaster recovery planning with minimal downtime.
Ensure quality assurance, procedures, templates, and documentation meet agreed standards.
Monitor operational guidelines for consistency and completeness.
Investigate and resolve incidents and problems in SAP systems and services.
Maintain the integrity, manageability, and architectural standards of SAP systems.
Act as technical lead in design, development, testing, and implementation of solutions (including after-hours support).
Establish performance baselines, monitor system health, and fine-tune for peak performance.
Develop SAP technical components across multiple SAP technologies.
Ensure proper security models are established with the NetWeaver team for new enhancements or changes.
Drive resolution of issues related to SAP SPS upgrades and service pack enhancements.
Participate in the Change Request process to document and justify changes.
Implement and test backup and recovery solutions, high availability systems, and OS / network / database configurations.
Build and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
Perform additional activities as needed to fulfill role objectives.

Internal and External Relations

Internal : Service Desk, Change Management, Release Management, Security Management, etc.

External : Customers; Third parties (Vendors / Implementation Partners).

Job Requirements

Education

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.

Experience

10+ years of SAP project experience.

5+ years managing SAP landscapes in midsize or large organizations.

Strong SAP Basis / NetWeaver administration expertise (ABAP & JAVA stacks).

Experience across multiple OS environments (Linux, Unix, Windows).

Proven experience with S / 4HANA implementations.

Skilled in installation and configuration of SAP products.

Knowledge of hardware capacity planning, backup / recovery tools, and high availability solutions.

Hands-on with SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) and SAP Security management.

Familiarity with SAP security models / products (SSO, IDM).

Knowledge of change management, escalation processes, and SAP OSS support.

Experience with enterprise-wide system implementation.

SAP Defence-related product experience is a plus.
