Responsibilities Job Purpose As part of the sales team the primary role of this position is to maximize sales volume, minimize stales, achieve distribution targets, implement agreed merchandising standards, collect accounts receivable and maintain high levels of customer service. Operating procedures must be followed to ensure continuity of standards across KSA to support these primary job functions.
In addition to these duties the salesman will provide his supervisor with the latest market information to develop any sales opportunities. The salesman will be required to attend training courses designed to improve levels of professionalism and customer service, and will be required to complete a daily debriefing with his supervisor.
Principal Accountabilities
Sell the full range of products to an agreed list of customers and meet sales targets. Maintain stales below agreed levels.
Provide approved customer service and maintain call frequency and daily route plan.
Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks and maintain the sales vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition.
Agree order requirements for the next selling period and keep individual customer stock levels adequate.
Implement agreed in‑store merchandising as communicated by the supervisor. Coordinate support with merchandiser if needed.
Advise supervisor of relevant competitor activity in the area. Participate in daily debriefing.
Daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash & credit sales – ensure zero stock and cash shortages.
Maintain grooming and presentable appearance and adhere to driving regulations.
Meet key performance indicators : daily / weekly sales vs plan, daily positive calls vs plan, daily call sequence vs plan, stales vs target, zero cash & stock shortages.
