To oversee the procurement, storage, and usage of raw materials within a manufacturing or production environment, ensure materials meet quality standards, are properly inventoried, and are available to meet production schedules. Manage personnel and promote a safe work environment and related activities within the Raw Material Storage section of Bakery, in compliance with company policy and procedures. Key Accountability
Ensuring accurate inventory levels, proper storage, and efficient handling of raw materials. Receives, stores, and issues supplies and equipment and compiles records of supply transactions; ensures that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices. Familiar with material descriptions (specification, unit of quantity, application) to provide the right materials requisitioned. Familiar with the location of material to locate and issue the requisitioned material in time and in the right quantity. Issue materials as per approved procedures to ensure materials issued are as per requisitions received and delivery is made to authorized personnel. Apply a physical classification system so items of similar nature are stored in predesignated locations for ease of access and optimized material handling. Implement and maintain a filing system to ensure goods issued and other documents are preserved and easily retrieved. Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and forklifts; sanitation activities should be performed at the beginning and end of the shift on a daily basis. Strictly implement FIFO and FEFO systems and the traceability system. Communicate effectively and demonstrate problem-solving skills as essential for success in this role. Follow WH Manager instructions to fulfill routine production activities. Motivate and enforce the implementation of policies concerning the company’s hygiene and sanitation standards to maintain hygiene in the concerned area and machinery. Maintain and endorse high standards of personal appearance, uniforms, and hygiene at all times. Perform operations in compliance with company processing procedures and specifications. Follow all relevant safety, quality, and environmental control procedures and instructions to ensure personal safety and the safety of others and maintain product / service quality and environmental impact. Maintain all records and forms in compliance with company and FSSC 22000 standards. Communicate with the WH manager to take corrective action on nonconforming products, quarantined products, and faults in machinery. Maintain records and reports to the Bakery warehouse supervisor at the end of each shift. Participate in training programs to improve skills and competencies. Required Qualification, Experience, and Skills
Must have a Degree or Diploma with experience in the food industry and food processing background. Technical experience in warehousing and logistics within the food industry; basic knowledge of Food Safety Principles and GMPs. Ability to understand warehouse management systems and activities, handle supplies, and work independently. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and requirements. Ability to drive forklifts. Fluent in written and spoken English. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing field. Seniority level
