Architectural Reviewer – Design Studio

Responsibilities

Architectural Drawing Analysis : Ensure all drawings comply with technical standards and both local and international regulatory requirements.

Integration with Other Systems : Review designs to ensure coordination with structural, electrical, and mechanical systems, and verify that there are no conflicts.

Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations : Ensure that designs adhere to design guidelines, local building codes, and urban planning requirements.

Accuracy in Design Implementation : Oversee the application of design documents during execution phases to ensure accurate implementation according to drawings and specifications.

Aesthetic Review : Ensure that the design reflects the architectural and cultural identity of the Al-Ahsa region.

Community Impact Assessment : Evaluate how the design affects the surrounding environment and local community, ensuring it contributes positively to the quality of life for local residents.

Client and Stakeholder Collaboration : Review designs in line with the requirements and expectations of the client or owning entity, while maintaining the overall project vision.

Detailed Reporting : Provide accurate reports on review outcomes, including recommendations for improvements or necessary modifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in design review and building permit procedures.

Strong familiarity with the Saudi Building Code and Al-Ahsa Municipality’s planning and regulatory frameworks.

High attention to architectural detail and the ability to detect inconsistencies and design conflicts.

Proficiency in design and review software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

Strong communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
