ITS Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

ITS Project Manager

to lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ITS Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, engineers, consultants, and government agencies to advance transportation technology solutions that improve mobility, safety, and system efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage ITS-related projects, including planning, design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and systems engineers. Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and performance metrics. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations and standards. Oversee vendor and contractor performance, ensuring contractual obligations are met. Facilitate communication between internal teams, external partners, and public agencies. Prepare and deliver project documentation, reports, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications

Required : Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience managing ITS or infrastructure-related projects. Strong understanding of ITS technologies (e.g., traffic signal systems, advanced traveler information systems, automated traffic management systems). Proven experience with project management methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools. Preferred : PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification. Master’s degree in a relevant field. Work Environment

Mixed between office-based / On site. May require travel to project locations or stakeholder meetings.
