The Steel Structure Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the steel fabrication and structural steel market. The role requires technical knowledge of steel structure systems along with strong commercial and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships, understand project requirements, prepare proposals, and close sales. Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. Understand technical and commercial requirements of steel structure projects (e.g., warehouses, factories, mezzanine floors, high-rise buildings). Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to the client's needs. Interpret architectural and structural drawings and prepare cost estimations in collaboration with the design and estimation team. Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and project negotiations to successfully close deals. Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Engineering, Project Management) to ensure accurate project planning and execution. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and potential business opportunities. Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to promote company offerings. Provide regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and performance to the management. Ensure post-sale client satisfaction and support project handover and after-sales service. Requirements :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience :
Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in steel structures, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), or construction sector. Technical Skills : Understanding of steel design standards and structural systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiar with AutoCAD, Soft Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Customer-oriented mindset and result-driven approach. Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus (especially in KSA or GCC roles). Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of local market regulations and experience working in the Gulf region. Background in B2B industrial project sales. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
