Job Summary
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for achieving operational excellence and delivering outstanding results in Quality, Service, Cleanliness (QSC), Sales, Profitability, and People Development. This role involves creating and evaluating short, mid, long‑term objectives, managing budgets and P&L, ensuring consistent operations, and driving customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Financial Management (40%)
- Develop and evaluate short, mid, and long‑term objectives and action plans for QSC, Sales, Profit, and People Development.
- Prepare and manage restaurant budgets; control P&L line items.
- Conduct monthly P&L projections, reconciliations, and identify profit opportunities.
- Ensure bottom‑line profit aligns with sales levels and implement sales‑building initiatives.
- Organize monthly activity calendars to achieve objectives and maintain consistent operations.
- Deliver excellent quality, service, and facilities management independently.
- Implement local and national promotions and monitor effectiveness.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve satisfaction.
- Respond to changes in volume and promotional activities by adjusting operational plans.
- Ensure timely completion of equipment calibrations and compliance with operational standards.
- Execute retention plans, crew incentives, and enthusiasm calendar activities.
- Manage inventory, Build‑To calculations, and ordering of supplies.
- Ensure employee welfare requirements are met (housing, medical, transportation).
Reporting & Control (10%)
Control and verify labor, waste, cash, and yields during shifts.Manage daily paperwork, inventories, cash sheets, drawer counts, and deposits.Monitor annual budget allocations, control expenditures, and report variance.People Management (20%)
Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities effectively.Review individual performance, provide feedback, and coach team members.Lead and motivate staff to achieve targeted goals and objectives.Implement talent management practices including recruitment, development, and retention.Conduct management meetings, crew opinion surveys, and communication sessions.Qualifications & Skills
2 to 4 years experience in an Operations role.High School Diploma in Business Administration.Planning and Organizational Skills.Coordination Skills.Result‑Driven.Communication & Presentation Skills.Interpersonal Skills.Seniority level
