About the Role The Base Maintenance Group Supervisor develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan. Ensures systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities. Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment in the SAW / Pipe Mill at Global Pipe Company.
Responsibilities
Develop and supervise the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan.
Ensure systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment.
Define corrective actions and generate improvement opportunities.
Support the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available.
Assist in the startup of new pieces of equipment in the SAW / Pipe Mill at TGPC.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineer or similar career.
More than 5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical maintenance within heavy industrial or pipe‑manufacturing facilities.
Required Skills
Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
Troubleshooting
Mechanical drawings interpretation
Mechanical measurements
Demonstrated experience in equipment inspections (structural and mechanical), supervision of mechanical interventions.
Proficiency in spare‑parts management : defining technical specifications, critical stock levels, and ensuring parts availability to minimize downtime.
Working knowledge of maintenance information systems (CMMS) such as SAP‑PM or similar.
Strong knowledge of HSE standards and risk assessment methodologies (LOTO, permit‑to‑work, incident reporting, risk analysis, environmental aspects).
