Job Summary : The Cabling, Stacking & Racking Technician will handle all physical IT infrastructure setup activities, including structured cabling, equipment installation, racking, stacking, and patching in data centers and network rooms. The role ensures that infrastructure is deployed according to standards and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

Perform racking, stacking, and cabling of network, server, and storage equipment.

Install and label network cables, patch panels, and power connections.

Support relocation, expansion, and maintenance activities in IT rooms or data centers.

Ensure proper airflow, power distribution, and cable management.

Assist in performing basic equipment checks and visual inspections.

Document cabling layouts, labeling, and asset placements.

Follow safety standards and maintain cleanliness in work areas.

Coordinate with IT engineers and vendors during equipment installations.

Qualifications and Skills

Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, or IT-related field.

3–5 years of experience in cabling and data center operations.

Familiarity with data center standards (TIA / EIA, ANSI).

Knowledge of fiber and copper cabling standards (Cat6, Cat6A, etc.).

Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and network layout drawings.

Good physical condition and adherence to safety procedures.
