Job description :

  • Maintenance Planning & Execution : Plan, coordinate, and execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair : Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and carry out repairs on a variety of equipment (e.g., Steam Boilers, Thermal Oil Boilers, air compressors, conveyors, Water Pumps, HVAC systems).
  • Continuous Improvement : Suggest and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase equipment efficiency; participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant performance and productivity.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies during maintenance tasks; ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for all maintenance work; conduct risk assessments and participate in safety audits as required.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with production, quality, and other departments to ensure smooth equipment operation and minimize production disruption; support training and mentoring of junior technicians or newly hired maintenance personnel.
  • Inventory & Spare Parts Management : Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and ensure critical spares are available when needed; liaise with vendors and suppliers for procurement of equipment and parts.

Education and Experience

  • Academic and professional qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience : 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing project management or industrial environment.

  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Communication : Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; good teamwork and collaboration skills, working closely with production, safety, and other teams.
  • Time Management : Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple maintenance jobs under pressure.
  • Adaptability : Flexible in adapting to changing work demands and emergency breakdown situations.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge : Familiar with safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset : Ability to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing equipment performance and reducing downtime.
