About the Role
We are seeking a CNC Machining Project Engineer to oversee the procurement and project management of precision machined mechanical parts . This role is central to ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of critical components that support our advanced engineering projects.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machining processes , understands tolerances and engineering drawings, and has successfully managed suppliers for machined parts from RFQ through to Quality Control .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end projects for precision-machined parts, from RFQ to supplier delivery.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships.
- Review and interpret 2D engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with suppliers on CNC machining methods (milling, turning, tooling) to ensure manufacturability.
- Oversee quality control and inspection processes to guarantee compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate internally with design, procurement, and quality teams to meet project milestones.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).5–10 years’ experience in managing CNC machining / precision mechanical parts procurement projects .Proven track record in supplier / vendor management, RFQs, purchasing, and project delivery .Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tolerances, GD&T, and material specifications .Experience in quality control and inspection of machined components .Excellent communication and project management skills.Preferred Experience
Supplier management for machined components in industries such as energy, aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment .Familiarity with supply chain optimization and vendor qualification .Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.Why Join Immensa?
