Position Summary : Senior Circuit Actions Technician III supports circuit actions tasks in accordance with DISA Circular 310-7-1. Supports the day-to-day operations of the circuit management office and the Tech Control Facility. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities :

Major Job Activities :

  • Perform circuit actions tasks according to DISA Circular 310-7-1 and the task / delivery order to support the Circuit Management Office (CMO).
  • Prepare tactical request for service (TRFS) documents using USCENTCOM TRFS format and submit to USCENTCOM / CCJO and USAFCENT / A6X CMO.
  • Prepare documents using the DISA Direct Store Front circuit provisioning system and submit them to DISA.
  • Generate in-effect, exception, and delayed service reports for strategic circuits using the Telecommunications Certification Office Support System, and for tactical circuits via email.
  • Maintain a TRFS / telecommunication service request log for tracking circuit actions.
  • Maintain historical files, circuit history folders, and develop circuit layout records (CLR).
  • Update the Mission-Essential Circuit List for USAFCENT using USCENTCOM Command Communications Service Designator website on SIPRNet.
  • Update and maintain link, trunk, circuit, and system diagrams for all USAFCENT communications using Microsoft Visio.
  • Deploy to locations supporting USAFCENT AOR to engineer, install / de-install, test, and document circuits per TSO or Tactical Telecommunications Service Order requirements.
  • Attend engineering planning, design, and review meetings supporting USAFCENT.
  • Provide training on hardware and TCF operations as needed.
  • Assist in circuit engineering and troubleshooting within the theater.
  • Review drawings and provide comments on communications requirements.

Material & Equipment Used : Government computers and DoD-approved software.

Working Environment :

  • Climate-controlled facility; outdoor temperatures may exceed 100°F.
  • Support may be required during non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical Activities :

    Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

    Qualifications :

    Education / Certifications :

  • High School diploma or GED
  • IAT-II Certified
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret Tier 3 (or higher) Security Clearance
  • Experience / Skills :

  • Lead-level experience installing communications circuits and solving complex problems, understanding circuit interrelationships, and exercising independent judgment.
  • At least 5 years’ experience activating new TCF circuits with equipment such as NET Promina, KG, KY, KIV, Cisco routers / switches, fiber optic modems, and interface cards.
  • Experience in circuit actions at the base, camp, station, MAJCOM, or unified command level.
