Position Summary

SIS Global is hiring an experienced Intelligent Network (IN) Back Office Engineer to manage operations and maintenance of Ericsson Charging System nodes. This role is critical for ensuring network stability, reliability, and top-quality service delivery in a dynamic telecom environment.

Detailed Job Description

As an IN Back Office Engineer, you will handle troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization of Ericsson Charging System components. You will manage change requests, conduct traffic analysis, and implement tariffs and service classes. The role also involves developing maintenance routines, participating in technical meetings, and driving operational improvements. Strong technical expertise and proactive problem-solving are essential for success in this position.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• ✓ Perform 2nd-level O&M restoration and handle trouble reports, escalating when necessary.
• ✓ Prepare, validate, and implement software, hardware, and configuration changes.
• ✓ Conduct traffic measurement, analysis, and performance reporting to detect deficiencies.
• ✓ Design and implement tariffs, service classes, and configurations.
• ✓ Develop and update maintenance routines, procedures, and documentation.
• ✓ Lead or contribute to process and operational improvements within the department.
• ✓ Represent IN activities in technical and operational meetings.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• ✓ Strong O&M experience in Ericsson Charging System nodes (SDP, CCN, AIR, VS, ECMS, OCC, IVR, NgCRS).
• ✓ Expertise in tariff management, RMA handling, and IN business configuration.
• ✓ VMware: vSphere, vCenter (6.x), vSAN, ESXi, host clustering with HA.
• ✓ HP 3PAR Storage: LUN, Volumes, CPG, firmware upgrades, capacity planning.
• ✓ SAN switch configuration, HP C7000 architecture, virtualization setup.
• ✓ Installation & administration of Ericsson Charging nodes on virtualized hardware.
• ✓ Knowledge of Ericsson Core Nodes (MSC, GMSC, STP, HLR) and routing principles.
• ✓ Oracle Database administration, Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and IP networking.
• ✓ Basic knowledge of OSS, GPRS, and GSM technologies.
• ✓ Experience in CSR handling, HW/SW upgrades, and emergency recovery in GSM networks.

✨ Nice-to-Have Skills

• ✓ Ex-Ericsson experience (strongly preferred).
• ✓ Familiarity with automation tools (SUF Playlist, SDP Geo-Redundancy, traffic switchover & fallback).
• ✓ Strong understanding of Core Network management systems (surveillance, performance, configuration).
• ✓ Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
• ✓ Ability to work independently and in a shift-based operational environment.
