Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering (mandatory). Certification or formal training in PLC / DCS systems, process instrumentation, or industrial automation preferred.
12‑15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control maintenance within continuous process industries (preferably aluminum, steel, petrochemical, or mining).
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, and level transmitters).
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Fieldbus and communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet).
- Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting control loops, analyzers, sensors, and process automation systems.
- Experience leading small teams or technical projects within instrumentation or automation areas.
Skills and Attributes
In‑depth knowledge of the aluminum industry and related business practices.Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems, control valves, transmitters, and analyzers.Capable of diagnosing complex control and automation issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.Proficiency in loop checking, calibration, configuration, and logic troubleshooting.Familiar with PLC / DCS programming concepts, backup / restore procedures, and interface management.Knowledge of safety systems (SIS, ESD, interlocks) and compliance with ISA and IEC standards.Proven ability to lead and mentor instrumentation engineers and technicians.Seniority level
