Calibration Technician – Riyadh, KSA

Perform on-site and off-site calibrations to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with local and international standards. Qualifications

Education : BS Engineer (Min. 3 years) / B-Tech / Diploma (Min. 7 years) of relevant experience preferred.

Skills : Awareness of ISO 17025 : 2017 standards. Proficient in mathematics and Microsoft Office tools. Strong communication skills (English required; English / Arabic preferred). Conflict resolution and teamwork abilities. Positive attitude and proactive mindset. Valid GCC driving license.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Ensure calibration department standards align with ISO 17025 : 2017. Follow daily calibration schedules and tasks as directed by the supervisor. Perform equipment calibrations, prepare observation sheets, and issue calibration certificates. Label calibrated equipment on the same day of completion. Conduct equipment maintenance and cleaning before and after calibration. Safely transport and authenticate master equipment for on-site calibrations. Verify master equipment validity before performing calibrations. Travel to various regions for on-site calibration tasks. Assist the Technical Manager with legal metrology tasks. Identify training needs and communicate them to the supervisor. Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Review and sign calibration certificates. Technical Skills

Understanding of Measurement Systems Knowledge of units, standards, and measurement systems (e.g., SI units). Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Ability to calibrate instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and pressure meters. Competence in using calibration management software. Proficiency with Metrology Equipment Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), optical comparators, and laser measurement systems. Expertise in operating advanced tools like profilometers, spectrometers, and torque testers.

Quality Standards and Compliance Understanding of ISO / IEC 17025 and other quality standards. Ability to ensure equipment meets regulatory and industry-specific requirements.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

Data Interpretation Analyze and interpret measurement data to ensure precision and identify anomalies. Prepare detailed calibration and test reports.

Troubleshooting Diagnose and correct measurement discrepancies or equipment malfunctions. Perform root cause analysis for recurring calibration issues.

Attention to Detail

Extreme accuracy in measurements to ensure reliability and consistency. Documentation skills for maintaining meticulous records and logs. Communication and Teamwork

Effective communication skills to liaise with engineers, quality teams, and management. Ability to train and guide others in measurement techniques and best practices. Technical Knowledge

Understanding of Materials and Physics Basic knowledge of material properties and how they affect measurements. Awareness of environmental factors (e.g., temperature, humidity) impacting precision.

Mathematical Proficiency Strong grasp of algebra, geometry, and statistics.

Computer Skills Familiarity with LIMS software and other technical tools. Competence in maintaining digital records and using spreadsheets for data analysis.
