Al-Kharj Armed Forced Hospitals is situated at a distance of 77 KM South of Riyadh, was inaugurated in 1983 with 60 beds as a part of Riyadh Military Hospital, which was founded by King Khalid Bin Abdulaziz in December 1978. Formerly under Programme of the Riyadh Armed Force Hospital, is now independent in providing medical services to the militaries in Al Kharj.AKAFHs is a tertiary hospital, with 190-bed capacity and serves as referral hospital within Al Kharj Region. The medical Services among the major groups include Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Medicine and General Surgery. The Hospital also has clinics for Neurology, Dialysis Unit, Dental Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Psychiatry.
