Role

Project Control Specialist – responsible for project controls for a rail / metro project, including scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, change control and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for development, review and monitoring of project schedules and the master program schedule, incorporating individual package schedules
• Develop and manage project reporting formats and procedures
• Develop and manage the document management system structure and tools
• Provide recommendations to manage project risks and improve financial performance
• Support the project team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems
• Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports
• Provide guidance on project cost and time issues
• Manage and coordinate preparation and maintenance of budgets and cost estimates
• Develop and maintain status reports including schedule status, financial analysis, cost performance and earned value
• Generate critical milestones for construction through discussions with the Project Manager and interface evaluation
• Monitor actual progress versus planned progress
• Monitor production rates and compare with plan
• Manage regular site inspections to assess contractor progress against the schedule
• Assess the impact of design / construction changes and schedule slippages
