Base pay range

Job Title : Material Engineer

Location : Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Experience : 3‑4 years

Salary Range : SAR 6,000 – 8,000 per month

Employment Type : Full‑time

About The Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Material Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in preparing and managing Material Technical Submittals (MTS) , ensuring all materials meet project specifications, consultant requirements, and industry standards and have joinery knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications and BOQs to determine material requirements.
  • Prepare, compile and submit Material Technical Submittals (MTS) for consultant / client approval.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to collect technical data sheets, certificates and samples.
  • Maintain and update the Material Submittal Log (MSL) and Material Tracker for all active projects.
  • Follow up on submitted materials and coordinate responses to consultant or client comments.
  • Ensure all submissions comply with project standards (e.g., LEED, fire rating, quality certifications).
  • Support the procurement team by confirming approved materials.
  • Collaborate with site and factory teams to ensure compliance with approved material specifications.

Requirements

  • Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in material submittal preparation within joinery. Joinery knowledge in materials is a must for this role.
  • Skills & Competencies : Strong knowledge of material approval and submittal procedures; excellent organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines; high attention to detail and quality; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF editing tools; understanding of health and safety best practices.
