Riyadh Construction – Logistics & Supply Chain Permanent Description : Role Overview The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage all logistics, material handling, and supply chain activities for the Qiddiyah construction project. The role involves ensuring the timely procurement, storage, and distribution of materials, optimizing site logistics, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The manager will play a key role in streamlining logistics operations to support the smooth execution of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Plan, organize, and oversee site logistics for the delivery, storage, and distribution of construction materials, equipment, and resources.
Develop and manage logistics strategies to ensure on-time availability of materials at work fronts.
Monitor and track inventory levels, warehouse management, and material movement.
Optimize logistics operations to reduce cost, delays, and wastage.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with procurement, construction, and engineering teams for seamless material flow.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Interface with client representatives, consultants, and regulatory authorities on logistics-related matters.
Site & Equipment Management
Oversee the allocation, operation, and maintenance of site equipment, vehicles, and material handling machinery.
Plan site access, traffic management, and delivery schedules to avoid congestion and delays.
Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive or high-value materials.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation
Ensure compliance with Qiddiyah’s site logistics regulations, company HSE policies, and local government laws.
Maintain accurate documentation for material movement, customs clearance, and regulatory approvals.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to enforce quality and safety standards in logistics operations.
Lead and supervise the logistics team, including warehouse staff, transport coordinators, and drivers.
Provide training, mentoring, and performance monitoring to ensure high efficiency.
Develop and implement KPIs for logistics and supply chain performance.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil / Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
10–12 years of logistics management experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale construction projects in the GCC.
Strong understanding of construction logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain processes.
Proven ability to manage material handling equipment, site traffic management, and large-scale deliveries.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, logistics management software, and MS Office tools.
Knowledge of Saudi customs, import / export, and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
