Cyber Security Engineer

The Cyber Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organization’s information systems and data from cyber threats. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities. The Cyber Security Engineer will work closely with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain security measures that protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will be adept at assessing risks, developing security protocols, and responding to incidents effectively. Responsibilities : Design and implement robust security architectures to protect sensitive data. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential threats. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents promptly. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all systems and applications. Provide training and awareness programs for employees on security best practices. Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions. Assist in compliance audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies. Participate in incident response planning and execution to mitigate security breaches. Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools. Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Understanding of risk assessment and management principles. Ability to conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. Strong understanding of encryption technologies and secure coding practices. Experience with cloud security and securing cloud environments.
