Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment including pumps, turbines, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, blowers, and valves.
- Perform precise alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and other precision instruments.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or mechanical issues and report findings.
- Replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, gaskets, shafts, and couplings.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and job plans to execute tasks accurately.
- Work efficiently to meet turnaround schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
- Assist in rigging and lifting heavy components in accordance with safety procedures.
- Coordinate with planners, supervisors, and safety teams to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
- Use hand and power tools, hoists, jacks, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including use of PPE, LOTO procedures, and permit systems.
Education : Industrial / Technical Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Millwright Technician in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industry shutdowns.Strong background in rotating equipment maintenance during shutdowns is essential.Certifications (Preferred)
