Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and efficient Document Controller to join our team in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an effective document management system, ensuring the proper handling, distribution, and storage of project documents while maintaining accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
Implement and maintain a comprehensive document management system for all project documents
Receive, review, and register incoming and outgoing project documents, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project standards
Control and monitor the flow of documents within the organisation
Distribute documents to relevant parties promptly and efficiently
Track and manage document review and approval processes
Organise and maintain physical and electronic document storage systems
Ensure documents are easily retrievable and secure from unauthorised access
Manage and control document revisions, tracking all changes and maintaining a revision register
Ensure all documents comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and project‑specific standards
Generate regular reports on document control activities and provide status updates to project managers and stakeholders
Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective document control
Communicate document control processes and requirements clearly and effectively
Regularly review and update document control procedures to align with best practices and standards
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information management, or a related field
5 years of experience in document control or a similar role
Proficiency in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
Strong knowledge of document control processes and procedures
Familiarity with industry‑specific standards and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Capability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
Arabic language skills are highly desirable due to the job location
