Job Title : Laundry Attendant
General Role :
As a Laundry attendant, you play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the luxury standards expected to serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by personally ensuring that all hotel guest laundry is processed quickly and efficiently, in line with the highest standards of Miraval Resort.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities (not exhaustive) : Miraval The Red Sea colleagues continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues.
- General Responsibility :
- Communicate in a friendly, tactful and professional manner with guests, suppliers as well as colleagues.
- Provide information regarding the hotel’s facilities & services.
- Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel’s service or reputation.
- Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.
- Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and / or roster to meet business needs.
- Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues.
- Care about your environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained.
- Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time.
- Know your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire etc.
- Understand the Employee Handbook and comply with the standards it outlines.
- Carry out all professionally reasonable instruction given by your supervisor.
- Report all incidents, accidents and guest complaints in briefings.
- Perform other extra job requested by superior as long as the request is reasonable and will not affect your health, safety or security.
- Technical Expertise :
- Together with Housekeeping Storekeeper to do linen and uniform inventory.
- Do proper checks regularly in order to ensure linen & uniform stock are sufficient and in usable condition.
- Report to Housekeeping Storekeeper any shortage of stock to be followed up.
- Check new uniforms when they arrive from tailor for both quantity and quality.
- Report to seamstress to perform small repairs for uniforms, such as re-fixing buttons, sewing small tears, etc.
- Issue correct & good uniforms to staff with a genuine smile.
- Keep a record of staff linen washing and send a monthly report to the Laundry Manager.
- Issue winter jackets, lost luggage kits, etc. if requested by HK Coordinator or FO staff for guests and keep a record file and alert in Opera.
- Perform small in-house laundry tasks for special or express laundry when possible.
- Ask advice from housekeeping leaders whenever guidance or assistance is required.
- Lost & Found :
- Anything found in the guest laundry or staff uniform should be reported to the Supervisor or Coordinator.
- Handle the lost & found items if found in the guest laundry or in uniform.
- Update the Lost & Found in the register book.
- Key Handling :
- Sign out the key tracking log book when you take the key.
- Do not open for anyone with your master key.
- At the end of your shift, return the key and sign in.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in the department.High school or equivalent required; hospitality training or certification is a plus.Understanding of laundry operations and handling guest laundry.Ability to communicate in English; Arabic is a plus.Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to high standards.Willingness to learn and adapt to a wellness-driven hospitality environment.Physical Demands
Requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and stair climbing throughout the shift.Ability to lift or carry items up to 25 kg as needed.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.Work Environment
Primarily indoors in a hotel / resort environment.May involve working in guest areas, corridors, laundry areas, and outdoor spaces (e.g., balconies).Shift work, including weekends, holidays, and possible all shifts.Fast-paced and physically active environment with a focus on mindfulness, attention to detail, and environmental sustainability.Support and teamwork with all colleagues.#J-18808-Ljbffr
