Cost & Contracts Manager

Responsibilities You will be responsible for overseeing and controlling the budgetary aspects of our data center projects, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a strong background in cost management, financial analysis, and project coordination within the data center or similar technology-driven environments. Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for data center projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation and adherence to financial constraints. Prepare and maintain detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to track project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive cost estimates for data center construction, upgrades, and maintenance. Analyze historical data and industry trends to provide accurate and reliable cost projections. Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure favorable terms and cost-effectiveness. Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any financial discrepancies or issues promptly. Implement cost control measures and procedures to minimize financial risks and optimize resource utilization. Identify and address potential cost overruns or inefficiencies, collaborating with project teams to implement corrective actions. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, PMP) is a plus. Proven experience as a Cost Manager, Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably within the data center or technology sector. Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis principles. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
