Chief Operating Officer for well-known construction Company
The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the company’s construction operations and procedures. As a key member of the executive management team, the Operations Manager manages various aspects of business operations, including project execution, tendering, cost control, and health and safety. Additionally, the Operations Manager ensures operational excellence, compliance with Saudi regulations, and alignment with Vision 2030 initiatives when applicable.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
- Strategic Leadership : Work closely with the CEO and other executives to ensure alignment of business and operational strategies.
- Strategic Leadership : Enhance the performance, scalability, and profitability of construction operations.
- Project Delivery & Execution : Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Building and construction projects across Saudi Arabia.
- Project Delivery & Execution : Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Project Delivery & Execution : Monitor key performance indicators, risk management, and project health dashboards.
- Operational Management : Oversee all operations related to construction, project management, planning, cost control, tendering, quality assurance / quality control (QA / QC), and health, safety, and environment (HSE).
- Operational Management : Ensure operational efficiency across all departments and construction sites.
- Operational Management : Implement systems and technologies to improve operational excellence.
- Regulatory & Compliance : Ensure compliance with local laws, labor regulations, Saudization requirements, and safety standards.
- Regulatory & Compliance : Manage relationships with regulatory.
- Regulatory & Compliance : Collaborate with Finance to manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
- Regulatory & Compliance : Contribute to financial planning and ensure projects contribute positively to margins.
- Stakeholder Management : Interface with government entities, JV partners, developers, and key clients.
- Stakeholder Management : Represent the company in high-level meetings, negotiations, and strategic forums.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / Bachelor of Architect, Construction ManagementPMP, PMI-SP, or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plusExperience : 15+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably Hospitality projectsExperience : Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Operations Director, VP of Operations)Experience : Proven track record in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly desirableExperience : Experience in mega Contracting CompaniesWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
