Chief Mechanic

Mechanic Technician – Diesel Engines & Electrical Systems This position focuses on the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diesel engines and associated mechanical systems in an industrial or offshore environment.

Qualifications

Experience : Minimum 5 years as a Mechanic or Senior Mechanic in industrial, marine, or onshore mechanical settings.

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; technical / vocational certification in Mechanical Technology preferred.

Core Mechanical Expertise : Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.

Safety Certifications (Mandatory) : First Aid and CPR certified; valid offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET / FOET, HUET); offshore medical certificate.

Language : Fluent in English (spoken and written) for communication, technical reporting, and procedural understanding.

Skills : Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics; strong leadership and team coordination.
