Duties and Responsibilities

• Support in maintaining the data processing and display system equipment.
• Perform intermediate level maintenance and repair as needed.
• Test and evaluate all data processing and communications equipment for maintenance / repair facilities and operations training labs.
• Assist the sectors in resolving data processing and display hardware / software problems.
• Evaluate performance of the installed data processing and display hardware / software.
• Produce adequate engineering training material in his specialty.
• Actively advise and assist in all aspects of his specialty.
• Participate in modifications, upgrades, and enhancement proposals for the data processing and display system.
• Execute any other task assigned related to the installation, maintenance, or enhancement of the data processing and display system.
• Keep abreast of the latest Data Processing and Display technologies.
• Review Statements of Work (SOW) and other technical documents to ensure these documents address all RSAF Data Processing and Display requirements.
• Research and prepare technical documentation for presentation to staff personnel.

Job Specification

Qualifications

Shall have a minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with a minor in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minor in Electrical / Electronics Engineering will be acceptable. Shall have a working knowledge of computer networks, communication protocols, and IT and communication technologies.
