Specialist, GIS(Geographic Information Systems)

Job Overview The Specialist, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) plays a critical role in the development and implementation of GIS projects and systems. This position involves analyzing spatial data through mapping software, maintaining and updating geographic databases, and producing high-quality maps and visualizations that support decision-making processes across various projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with other technical teams to integrate GIS data with organizational operations, ensuring accurate representation and analysis of geospatial information.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS using ArcGIS 10.

X, covering piping, electrical, mechanical and civil works.

Proficient in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and other related technologies.

Experience with remote sensing and GPS technologies is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and transform them into actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or relevant certifications in GIS is a plus.

Certificate in GIS or computerized graphics.

Certification in Software (ArcGlS) including GIS analysis, mapping and information retrieval.
