Business Analyst

Job Description Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications. Simplifying and understanding business complexity and project interdependencies. Gathering, documenting, and analyzing business software requirements based on industry standards. Understanding and implementing the change management process throughout the lifecycle. Ensuring requirements issues are tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner. Following and adhering to the SDLC. Managing risk within each project. Using the latest business analysis methodologies and techniques for optimized and concise requirements. Supporting users’ participation in deployments and implementation activities. Effectively communicating plans, status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a precise and timely manner. Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on budget. Resolving issues and prioritizing along the process flow and escalating to proper channels where necessary to avoid impacting deliveries. Analyzing matrices into reports for major / medium projects with risk mitigation plans. Managing the feedback loop for up-to-date project trackers. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Management Information Systems or a related field. Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements. Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations. Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products. Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify resolutions. Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards. Modeling Techniques : Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g., Use Cases, Activity Diagrams). In-depth understanding of various software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, RUP, and Waterfall). Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
