Job Description The Project Team Leader will exhibit genuine interest in solving work problems by proactively asking questions, clearly communicating, and collaborating both internally and externally to grow the business. They will understand our competition and customers, show initiative to learn, and continuously improve company processes.
The position has complete responsibility for the successful execution of assigned projects, accommodating both the customer’s needs and CCC’s financial objectives, managing the project schedule, and overseeing the resources assigned to the project (people, materials, and services). Projects assigned are mid‑ to high range in technical and commercial complexity and revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the project engineering team toward successful project completion as the technical and commercial solution leader, supporting sales and project efforts, and forecasting goals and project profitability with the Regional Leadership Team.
Supervise employees, including ongoing performance management, employee development, workload monitoring, and resource negotiation with the Engineering Manager to meet project constraints.
Schedule and manage internal project meetings, define the initial project schedule, track execution updates, manage customer change requests, correct FAT punch list items, coordinate hand‑off to Field Services, and meet delivery and profitability targets.
Serve as the focal communication point with customers, setting expectations during sales, managing testing activities, and traveling to customer sites as needed.
Finalize change orders, manage external suppliers for goods and services, and ensure cost‐effective solutions compatible with technical requirements and schedule.
Track and report project status, customer expectations, hours charged, material costs, actual versus budget costs, receivables, and deliverables.
Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, utilization, and customer satisfaction upon completion.
Capture lessons learned and evaluate performance of the project team.
Respond to changes productively and handle other duties as required.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Education & Experience
University Degree in Engineering required.
5+ years managing projects, PLCs, DCS, unit controls (rotating equipment), plant and compressor controls.
Prior leadership or managerial experience preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or professional engineering license preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Business acumen and understanding of customer business models, go‑to‑market strategies, and how to align Honeywell solutions with their needs.
Commercial acumen and awareness of competitive positioning.
Proven ability to build credibility with customers.
Knowledge of operational and implementation processes for project execution.
Proactive, results‑driven mindset.
Ability to leverage internal and external resources to keep projects on track.
Understanding of basic revenue models, P / L, and cost‑to‑completion projections.
Comprehensive knowledge of corporate practices, contracting regulations, subcontracting, insurance, accounting, and finance principles.
English proficiency (reading, speaking, writing) required.
