The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing all accounting operations of Teef Najd Group , ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data and reporting. This role plays a vital part in maintaining proper financial control, preparing financial statements, and supporting management with strategic financial analysis and planning.

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting team, supervise daily transactions, monitor budgets and expenditures, and ensure that all accounting practices adhere to company policies, local regulations, and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage all general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly.
  • Monitor and control company budgets, cash flow, and expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with Zakat, VAT, and other government regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Analyze financial data and provide management with regular reports on performance, cost control, and profitability.
  • Support management in strategic planning, forecasting, and decision-making through financial insights.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly and yearly accounts.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial and operational goals.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accountants to ensure continuous development and accuracy in work output.
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, ERP, and reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and Saudi tax / Zakat regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP / accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
