PositionOverview / Responsibilities :
This is an excitingand unique opportunity to work around the world as part of a FieldOperating Service (FOS) team supported by technology experts fromHoneywell UOPs Technical Service Group. FOS advisors are onsiteprior based in the UAE during and after the initial startup of UOPtechnologies. They help to ensure that the technology and customeroperators are ready for commissioning. Advisors are also involvedin the test runs that demonstrate guarantees they provide technicalinsight and assist customers in resolving engineering and operatingissues.
UOP advisors may remain at a site for afew days to several months before moving to the next assignment.For each startup advisors may work with a number of UOPlicensedprocesses and a variety of individuals within and outside of UOP.The experience gained from each assignment and the subsequentinteraction with other UOP employees provide a solid background forassessing and solving problems encountered in each situation invarious locations around the world. As advisors gain experiencethey have opportunities to advance to positions of increasedaccountability within the FOS organization.
MUSTbe able to commit to travelling international and domestically andreside onsite for long uninterrupted periods of time (Typicalassignments are four to six months but one day to one yearpossible).
Begin your career with 12 months inthe Early Career Program where you will be exposed to a variety offunctions including Research and Process Development ProcessEngineering and / or Technical Service. You will gain experience inone or more of UOPs key refining and petrochemical technologieswith a variety of activities that may include operating pilotplants designing troubleshooting and / or servicing UOP processunits and performing other challengingassignments.
Following these 12 months oftraining Engineers will transfer to Field Operating Service (FOS).In FOS they will travel full time for 35 years on assignments tomultiple locations around the world supporting UOP customers inoperating plants as a process engineer andadvisor.
Accountabilities of thisposition include :
Completion of a 12 monthtraining program designed to develop the skills needed to be FOStechnical advisor.
This includes :
Independent learning as well as structured classroom and handsontraining
Training focused on safety and UOP technologyprocesses and procedures by which UOP delivers technology to ourcustomers
On the job training and valueadded work in 34rotational work assignments in Operations Engineering TechnicalService Digital or Business groups
Soft skills trainingincluding cultural awareness conflict management and communicationcourses
Transfer to Field Operating Service for aduration of at least 35 years. In Field Operating Service you willbe on international and domesticassignments.
Some of theaccountabilities are :
Following all requiredsafety procedures and adhering to FOS UOP and Honeywellpolicies
Completing a detailed checkout of new UOPprocess units prior to initial start up in order to assure that thecompleted unit conforms to UOP specifications
Providingfield technical assistance and field support for developmentactivities in commercial units and suggesting improvements on UOPprocess designs
Collecting and effective analysis ofunit operating data and laboratory results
Advisingcustomers on scheduling procedures normal operating variables andresponse to emergency situations and unscheduled process changesunder the guidance of the Chief Technical Advisor ifavailable

Ability andwillingness to travel internationally and domestically and resideonsite for long uninterrupted periods of time. (Typical assignmentsare four to six months but durations of one day to one year or moreare possible.)
Flexibility to work hours that aredictated by customer requirements and assignment scope
Strong customer focus and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work in a physically challenging environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Exceland Word.
