Director

Our client, a leading international consultancy, is seeking an accomplished Director of Project Design Management to lead the design delivery of high-profile building and infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.

This senior leadership role is client-facing and pivotal in ensuring technical excellence, design integrity, and financial performance throughout project execution.

You will be responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary design teams, aligning with client expectations, and ensuring delivery excellence across all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in managing large-scale projects in the Middle East, demonstrating strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the design management function across multi-disciplinary teams and a portfolio of building and infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Act as the primary client interface for all design-related matters, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded in terms of quality, timelines, and cost.
• Oversee technical and financial performance of the design function, ensuring alignment with project goals, budgets, and schedules.
• Provide strategic input during project inception, design development, and delivery stages.
• Manage internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, planners, and specialists.
• Lead value engineering, risk management, and design review processes.
• Ensure design compliance with international and local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, clients, and JV partners.
• Support business development and bid efforts through technical leadership and strategy formulation.
