Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all artistic and technical studio spaces, including film sets, visual arts spaces, design labs, and digital fabrication workshops.

Strategic Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies for studio operations, bookings, and access.

Support sustainability initiatives in resource usage, energy efficiency, and waste management.
Evaluate studio performance through user feedback, usage reports, and compliance audits.
Operational Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring studios are equipped and available for scheduled activities.
Maintain booking systems, usage policies, and access protocols.
Enforce safety standards, conduct inspections, and manage compliance in collaboration with FM and HSE teams.
Supervise installation, calibration, and maintenance of studio equipment, AV systems, and fabrication tools.
Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting to faculty, staff, and students.
Lead studio technicians and support staff, ensuring training, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
Manage vendor relationships for equipment servicing, upgrades, and specialized installations.
Oversee inventory of tools, consumables, and materials in coordination with the Inventory & Asset Manager.
Maintain detailed logs on usage, maintenance, incidents, and compliance.
Generate regular operational reports and recommendations for improvements.
Industry Experience
10+ years of experience managing creative or technical studio environments, preferably in academic or performing arts institutions.
Strong knowledge of interdisciplinary studio operations, including AV, fabrication, and visual arts.
Experience with digital fabrication technologies (e.g., CNC, 3D printing, laser cutting).
Proven ability to support academic and student‑led projects in dynamic studio environments.
Management Capabilities
Skilled in leading and mentoring studio technicians and support staff.
Ability to manage resource planning, inventory, and procurement in studio settings.
Experience in coordinating vendors for equipment installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
Project management skills for aligning studio readiness with academic schedules and production requirements.
Interpersonal Skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills with faculty, students, and technical staff.
Ability to provide training and guidance on equipment usage, safety, and studio etiquette.
Creative problem‑solving abilities in supporting academic and artistic needs.
