Job Purpose / Objective

Assume responsibility and accountability for physiotherapy care to individual or group of patients to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part, and help patients reach maximum performance levels. Educate patients regarding physiotherapy techniques.

Description

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

• Plan and undertake comprehensive assessments of patients and formulate effective, clinically reasoned treatment plans according to set standards to maintain professional standards for quality of patient care.
• Utilize various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and establish priorities based on doctor’s referral and patient needs, considering available resources.
• Provide expertise in assessment and treatment of pain and musculoskeletal disorders (In-patients and Out-patients).
• Coordinate long-term rehabilitation for patients with neurological disorders.
• Perform therapeutic techniques such as heat, cold therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical therapy.
• Document care in accordance with international standards and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior, preserving patient rights, dignity, and privacy.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and support accreditation efforts.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and search for excellence.
• Report incidents and ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and a clean environment.
• Manage supplies effectively and strive for best practices.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in person-centered care initiatives.
• Contribute to enriching patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other duties within his / her knowledge, skills, and abilities.
