Job Overview We are seeking a

Sr. Tendering Engineer - Services | alfanar Electric

to lead the preparation of complex technical and commercial proposals. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, validation of technical documents, and customer support during pre‑sales and project execution stages.

Responsibilities

Proposal Development and Costing

Review customer RFQs and technical specifications to determine design requirements.

Prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs by analyzing drawings, materials, and labor requirements.

Optimize designs for cost‑effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer needs.

Technical Review and Documentation

Develop and review technical documentation, including design calculations, schematics, and proposals.

Validate the accuracy and feasibility of design solutions before submission.

Ensure proposals meet all quality standards and project requirements.

Customer Support

Communicate with clients and consultants for technical clarifications during the proposal stage.

Provide technical support during negotiations to secure approvals and project acceptance.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align proposal requirements with operational capabilities.

Support modifications and variations during project execution by preparing revised designs or cost estimates.

Continuous Improvement

Recommend improvements in proposal templates, costing methodologies, and design workflows.

Keep updated with new technologies and industry trends to enhance proposal competitiveness.

Qualifications

Academic qualification : Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience : 6 to 10 years in technical / tendering roles.

Technical / Functional competencies : feasibility / cost / benefit analysis, cost / time estimating, oral / written communication, negotiation, business acumen.

Soft skills : problem‑solving, quality focus, business process improvement, compliance, health & safety awareness.
